The evidence that suggests how exposure to RF EMF can cause EHS isn't extensive. Nevertheless, there are numerous other studies that show this link between RF EMF and oxidative stress. While RF radiation does not directly harm DNA, it can cause heat to build up in tissues of the body that could cause burns or tissue damage. Unlike ionizing radiation, RF radiation is not believed to cause cancer. However, some studies show an increase in tumors in laboratory animals exposed to RF radiation.

There are many federal agencies involved in regulating and monitoring the impacts of RF radiation on human bodies. They include those of the Environmental Protection Agency, the Food and Drug Administration, and the OSHA. They monitor exposure to RF to ensure that it is safe for workers. They also urge employees to minimize their exposure to radiation if they are working in environments with high-frequency RF.
